Vital career Questions

Have you ever felt helpless due to lack of resources to make a career decision?

Deciding to go for a new Job without proper knowledge of the firm is a scary scenario. A lot of us have to face it because most of the job resources talk about “Jobs”, but they do not tell you  about the culture of the company or employee satisfaction for that Role. That’s where NaukriReview helps you.

Are you being offered the right salary?

Salaries are highly variable depending on the person to whom the job is being offered. It is good to know the average salary for a Role in a firm . This helps you make the right demands so that you do not under/over quote you expected CTC. However, it is impossible to know this unless you have a friend in the company. That’s where NaukriReview helps you.

Will Career Growth for the Role be good?

It is important to find out the growth path for a particular role. If you know what kind of opportunities will be available to you in future, then you will be better prepared. Mentors can’t be always right, nobody is. That’s where NaukriReview helps you.

Why We Exist

Change is the only constant. With that in mind I would like to like to say that the job market in India is no different. There is a lot of risk, competition and uncertainty. One wrong decision can undo years of good work and planning. Being an MBA job aspirant I found the lack of resources (besides people’s advice) to make a successful career decision disappointing. This inspired me to create a place where people can pool in their experiences that can act as a roadmap to others with questions.

The big players (Job Portals) have commoditized the job market. Whether it is “Naukri.com” or “TimesJobs”— they just focus on selling their subscription to as many employers as possible. Close to 90% of their revenue is derived from selling ‘Subscription for Resume database” to corporate (based on the latest analysis of Naukri.com’s balance sheet). Do they provide any information to the jobseekers about the job that they are applying for? Is there a source for Indian jobseekers to get information from people who have worked at these organizations? Won’t it be wonderful to know about the culture of a firm before resigning from your current job?

Recently I heard from a colleague at work how he was left in a spot. He got an offer letter from a firm which stated the designation and compensation for the job offered. Based on this he resigned and started making preparations to move into the new firm. At the very last moment, this firm communicated to him that there had been a mistake and sent him a revised offer letter (with a considerable reduction in the package). This was a tough time for my friend, but luckily he got another offer just in time.

Won’t it be great if there was a place where you could get information about such incidents? It will definitely save jobseekers from the pain and panic of such a foul play. With that thought in mind I would like to present to you NaukriReview.com–a place where you can tap into the experiences of people working with your prospective employers and get the best for yourself.
